I sit here reading this laughing and facepalming, Necromancy is not "Dark side of Magick", Its frowned upon because it contacts the spirits of the departed, Also Necromancy is Divination through having a nice chat with these spirits, Not raising corpses to do your biding.

I can't stress this enough

NECROMANCY IS NOT DARK MAGICK

There is The Necromantial Ritual Book that is pretty good,,I found it on darkbooks.org, but the author has slipped my mind... Then there is reading the Book of Enoch,it's one of the dead sea scrolls, books kinda not allowed in the bible, it mentions Azreal the angle of death, so that's why it's suggested for a beginner to read... There is a relationship one needs to develop with Azreal... However Galdr has a bit of necromancy in it,i beleive , but that's a Norse Pagan belief.. Good luck and definitely read up on stuff before you practice..

Crowley gets all the Fame but Levi is the man who whom sparked the modern Era of Mafick and Occult interest
His books are amazing as was his knowledge and input, Crowley clamied he was him in a past life lol.Later in Life his faith turned more to God and less towards occult paths But Levi
And a man named Manly P Hall wrote some excellent
Crowley was Great but yes he was on drugs
Was a terrible abcent father and taught a lot of bad ppractices
Another Great but under rated occult writter is Dion Fortune
She held Crowley's views that Magick was all in the Head but wrote some amazing books.

I believe Crowley died penny less
Hooked on Drugs and his last words were on perplexed
He spent any fortunes, could not control himself so he couldn't have been the great mage as He claimed because the first key is control of self,if we can't change and control our selves how can the universe allow us to change anything else? Levi was the real deal.

Again we see Crowley facts which are essentially derived from bad books, documentaries, or simply badly researched. Why you even feel the need to comment on every post in which he is mentioned is beyond me.

Firstly, I agree, I love Levi and Hall has written some excellent works. Truly greats.

Crowley was on drugs, he also came off everything numerous times with the exception of heroin- which was originally prescribed for his asthma and without it he would have died. The exception being in Berlin when he got some German medicine he does not specify which got him off heroin, but the UK would not allow it in this country, so he had to go back to the heroin.

He did use drugs to alter consciousness, please tell me how this is different from shamans, or even some witches who would ingest hallucinogens to see things? The difference between Crowley and the average drug addict is that his drug use usually had a purpose and he learned how to use them in ritual from his mentor Allan Bennett. He didn't just do it for fun and when he did it was controlled.

He was a terrible father, I'll give you that, also a terrible lover/husband. Nothing to do with his occult work though.

Crowley did not say magic is all in the head every single time, he merely endorsed skepticism publicly. Private letters, diary entries, and even his later book Magick Without Tears state very different things. Dion Fortune was more about analysing psychology through the occult rather than occult through psychology.

Have you actually read any of these people's books? Or just heard their names?

Again, last words, if you read badly researched books it is "I am perplexed" actually, it is more likely his last words were "Sometimes I hate myself." He also did not die penniless, he died quite comfortably.

If you read about how he spent much of his fortune, you would realise a lot of it went into his magical education, publications, and interests.

Why could he not control himself? Because he couldn't get off heroin? I'd like to see any magician try heroin and get off it, in fact anyone with severe asthma and there is no other option for treatment.

He went through all the rigorous training and most certainly had control over most of his own faculties. I suggest you actually do some valid research before spouting nonsense.

Well, anyone who knows me on this site knows my knowledge of the subject, so I feel no need to defend myself, my ego isn't hurt by you.

The way you write not only shows your level of intelligence, but the subject matter therein also shows the level of research and attention you have paid to whatever sources you have read.

I am by no means a cheerleader of the man, I am the first to admit we would have not got along personally, however, you are spouting nonsense. You still have not revealed the reasons for your obsession.

He died with a cashbox of money collected from his order, the OTO, which he put towards publishing works, most notably at this period the Book of Thoth. His friend Karl Germer also gave him money to aid him through his later years.

Please tell me more about a personal interest of mine I have researched for years. You are choosing to argue with the wrong person.
