I did write 'many artists' word for word...and I know because I can clearly remember the exact moment I imagined two of my pieces and it was clearly during the day. I'm not saying it might not be true, then or now, but the wording makes it seem like an assuming statement

Sorry I did misread it.

Look, I'm not saying the statement's wrong. I'm saying the way you worded it is the reason people are uneasy with the statement. I understand you didn't mean all artists and you meant no harm with the statement, it's not that. I'm just going to drop it now

But it's a really interesting fact, I can't deny that :)

Even if he did drink in his life, enough to cause liver damage, who said he did so while he was doing his work. I believe he drank when he wasn't working. But I was not alive at that time, and therefor can not say that is a fact. I only know, from my life experience, that me and my artsy friends never drank or smoked or did any mood altering substances while we did the majority of our work, either in class or out. My best friend and I spent an entire year painting murals in my first apartment. Yes, on a occasionally we did drink and partake of some herbal substance, but we were not painting at the time. [By the way, that apartment was the funnest and most inviting home I've ever had the pleasure of residing in. It's a shame to think they painted over our beautiful works after I moved out. I was 18 at that time, and feels like it was another lifetime.]
