Catty, i agree with you.

most of what Criss Angel says is actually about self confidence and self realization, not about magic OR magick

but yes, he is a street magician, and not a witch. alot of his performances DON'T make sense, which is what he STRIVES for. the less he makes sense, the more "magical" or "unreal" his performances seem, which is what "magicians" go for!

and yes, all magic is to see a result of gain on ouyr behalf. ALL

even a spell to heal someone else helps you.

next time you cast a spell, think about what it does for you, and why your post makes no sense.

Take it from some one who does a lot of stage magic, Criss Angel mainly uses stage magic! That doesn't mean he doesn't use magick it just means he doesn't use it alot in his acts. Of course, I can't explain his tricks and illusions, they're really advanced compared to mine. Lol I suck at magic. Haha cause I'm just that geeky magician girl. Lmao. Criss Angel in my opinion is an illusionist/escape artist w/ maybe a little magick but idk about that. He's just like Penn and Teller(sp?). Either way, he's still one of my idols and I couldn't care less. ^.^ -Catty

Catty, take it from me, I'm also a stage magician, but just because I'm a stage magician and a witch doesn't mean I use both when I perform.

Besides, as was previously stated, Criss Angel has said multiple time that he believes in neither Magick nor Ghosts, so claiming that he may use Magick in his acts is a little non-researched.

((And to whoever brought this up, Criss Angel is not actually a Christian, the cross he wears is more or less a publicity stunt.... And it works, 'cause you noticed it ^_^))

I don't use them together when I perform either(well not that often-ish. lol.). And I wasn't claiming that he uses it in his acts. I was just saying he could but say he doesn't. Well not neccesarily in his acts but you know what I mean. Most people don't know I practice magick, except for two people if they could figure out my cryptic-ness. Lol. All I'm saying is that none of his fans actually know for sure. -Catty

It's been said many times before, he's an illusionist. Don't get pulled in by their stunts and tricks, it's what they want and it confuses people with moldable minds. Also, most all of magick is used for personal gain. It's benefiting someone, right? When you do a healing spell on yourself, that's for personal gain. It may be for a good reason, but that doesn't mean it's selfless. Wishing spells, money spells, curses, healing, protection; it's all for personal gain. I'm sure there might be something...but I can't think of it at the moment. Thanks.

Okay, Catty, I agree with you in that aspect, we don't know for sure. All we have is his testimonial, in which he could've been lying, however, do to the fact that it is HIS testimonial, and not that of say, his brother, we must then accept it until other, more valid proof, emerges.

I also agree with you, WhiteNashoba, except for one thing: There is no spell that be used absolutely selflessly.

The reason? If a spell you cast is successful, for no matter what reason it was casted, you get a prominent ((even if you try to hide it, it's there, and you know it)) sense of pride and accomplishment.

Most of what Magick is is proving to yourself that you are capable. There's nothing wrong with taking pride in success in that respect, but don't try to hide it.

Any spell you cast SUCCESSFULLY will be posted in your memory banks as a "win." Not as a "spell I casted to heal the blind." And you know it. Take some pride in what you can do, and take more pride in what your improving on! It's human nature to feel proud every now and then. Is it wrong to be prideful ALL the time? Yes, that causes snoodiness and rudeness, but the occasional self-pat-on-the-back is a personal motivator.
