:O I just thought that males are more powerful then females! I would be scared of a dragon came to my home I never met one or seen one, also, have you even seen a dragon in real life not by AP or anything? Or can they only be seen by ap?
one is not more powerful, they all have their own natural strengths and weaknesses [plus male or female a Dragon could still knock some sense into you lol] i sense them like i sense spirits. as a child i could see spirits as full manifestations, but now i see spirits as shadowie figures [kind of like how they're shown in The Conjuring] i can hear them, but it depends on the spirit how they sound, some i get a stong emotion, others will speak.
Dragons on the other hand i can sense a strong energy, and see an orb out of the corner of my eye [usually it depends on the element the dragon is, i normally see a blue-green coloured orb out of the corner of my eye. i've also seen a few faerie orbs which are this amazing shade of purple] i've never seen a Dragon standing before me in the physical [they would be like spirits in our plane] which is why i rely more on meditation and projection. i do know some people who can see Dragons like i use to see spirits, but personally i sense the energy in the room.
Dragons, their appearance, gender, element etc. do indeed tend to be fluid. After all, they are spiritual beings that live and exist on a more energy-focused plane. So images and gender tend to come to a person interacting with them as images and impressions. Even in our mind's eye you aren't likely to see any obvious 'feminine' or 'masculine' details. But I have personally found that there are times you will get a feminine or masculine feel or interpretation from them when in their presence. At times you may even get both. Or neither. On energetic levels it is more a matter of personality than biology.
It is actually similar when talking about a dragon and its 'element', and also colour*. I remember spending a lot of time pondering how dragons can be so individual in appearance and quality. By my experiences Dragons are not gods so much as ascended masters, and have been learning and growing just as humans and other beings do- albeit either without incarnations, or by incarnating in places other than earth, or by incarnating into physical forms other than their own. For example, incarnating on earth as a human, for the experiences it can provide.
Still as they learn, their personalities and preferences lead them to working with different elements which they then tend to 'specialize' in. And that breeds an inborn connection and affiliation with that/those elements over others.
Because of this, I have come to see dragons a little differently. For example I don't see an 'earth' dragon as a being born of the elemental forces of earth itself, but as an ascended master who has a special depth of knowledge and connection with the earth element and its representations. And so they grew into becoming a dragon of earthen energy. This is also one of the reasons Dragons are better seen as guides and guardians rather than bespoke gods, even when calling on them in magic. The difference is subtle, I know, but it can mean a slight change in wording when you state your callings and intentions and in the end lets you form a better, deeper connection to their assistance.
The same goes for a Dragon's color**, and often perceptions of age and overall appearance as well. Energies are often associated with vibration and color, and naturally personality and experience have an effect on maturity and knowledge- and through that one's vibration. As soul matures it tends to rise through a spectrum of energy similarly to the vibrations/wave lengths of visible light. IE; red-orange-yellow-green-blue-indigo-violet.
So a dragon's color might not only be related to the element they associate with, but also their relative maturity. Where 'red' colors tend to come from souls that are relatively young and still learning, maybe a bit brash and inexperienced, but no less potent and certainly capable of deep wisdom. While indigo and violet dragons, like indigo and violet souls, have been 'around the block' for some time, and tend to be more mature and weathered. So they have a tendency for patience, subtle action, and that sort of penetrating intellect that has no qualms in diving straight to the root of an issue (whether you even know it is the root or not) to yank it free.
While an energy presenting itself with indigo coloring and feelings could be seen as stepping into the role of a bespoke guide or teacher even among dragons, those of a more violet feel/appearance might be closer to reaching the point where they might move on to still higher levels of awareness and consciousness. Sort of like switching scales of the electromagnetic spectrum from being on the 'violet' side of the infra-red spectrum, to visible light (roygbiv) then growing through that perception again before crossing ver to the 'infra red' scale and starting over yet again, and so on.
Ok. So it might be a loose analogy, but for now it's the best comparison I can make. Also I should note that obviously this is one perspective, and one facet of how a person might perceive a dragon's color in addition to the ideas of the associated elements and their influences. I suppose if you wanted to -really- get in depth one could fathom a theory that all dragons sort of 'progress' through the elements along the same fashion to the colors. By associations this could make sense as fire tends to be temperamental, active, direct, and related to inspiration, discovery and identity. While more earthy (green) energy tends to be patient, supportive, and about growth, healing, and support. And of course water and blue both tend to be related to emotional awareness, adaptation, fluid movement, and the power behind 'softness'.
As a side note, this idea is where terms like 'indigo children' comes from. It is a reference to seeing the person as an advanced or old soul who has more experience than their physical age would normally reveal.

What religions/mythologies exist in which Dragons are not villans but are instead revered and respected by the Gods/Goddesses?
You might look into the religions of the Far East for examples of dragons which are not considered evil. In China dragons were considered very wise beings who could impart their knowledge to humans.
