this is a thread for those who have questions about Dragon Magick and the Draconic path. you can comment here, message me or i am usually on chat form 8-3 on weekdays
it is working with dragons and dragon energies. not everyone is meant for dragon magick. if you are then your first thing is to meet your dragon guardian. he/she will tell you what you need to do. the dragons keep balance in the multiverse. they control the flow of chaotic energy and send it to people who use its energy to make spells and energies.
From my experince and knoweldge I've always seen Tiamat as a draconian goddess and mother of dragons, gods, monster, etc. Even seen her the controller chaos with the hint of divinity.
I always look up to her not only a goddess but a mother who motivates me and takes care like a mother would do for a child. Don't know you had any relations with Tiamat or not just want to put it out there. :)
most who follow Dragon Magick don't worship a 'dragon god' of sorts. Dragons are seen as guides similar to deities, but they are not gods. there is no specific god in the Draconic path [though some still work with deities] many work with their personal Guide and Guardian, as well as the rulers of the specific elements [typically it's air, fire, water, earth and chaos, but some also work with metal, wood, lava, and spirit]
the path is primarily one of self discovery. you can call on Dragons in your spell work, circle casting, or even set up an altar for them, but it focuses more on study over spells. Dragons also choose you. while you can introduce yourself, or ask for guidance, ultimately they judge your character and choose if they wish to work with you or not.
Here and there I've been drawn to the dragons myself. Mostly because of the feeling that the representations go for, since I've been seeing alligator/crocodile-type figures in my dreams many, many times over the past years. It may also be because I enjoy Dungeons & Dragons and games like Dark Souls and generally Renaissance and Middle ages themed stuff, as well as how literature includes dragons as a specific kind of symbol. But for what ever reason I really like the aesthetic as well as the energy, and I swear I have a guide but I'm either not seeing or it's not telling me much. (Contacted through dreams, where a figure showed me a reptillian creature that I should not fear, and perhaps "tackle" as a challene or ride along with)
What do you reccomend in order for me to advance? Meditating on things never really worked for me since it always feels like the fact that I expect this answer to come out of the blue never seems to work, but if I somehow "invite things" -- then it will start to show and become clear to me (like what if I make an altar to what kind of draconic energy I want to attract and then a dragon guide will choose me sooner or later will work?)
I have been watching Dragon Feather on youtube for quite some years now, ever since I wondered if pagans posted to Youtube at all.
Dragon Feathers not bad, i've seen a few of her videos. did you see the one she did on LunarWisdom?

i would [if possible] set up a permanent altar of some kind specifically for the dragons. you could specificy it's for your guide, like when you leave an offering say 'my Dragon Guide, please accept my offering of (item) as a token of appreciation for all you do' you could also sit quietly before it and meditate, pray, ask questions, or simply sit quietly and relax. [say you have a question but since you're not too sure with meditation, you could ask for a sign, or you are open to speaking in your dreams that night] i would really observe the world around you, try and raise your awareness and your connection to magick in general so you can sense if theres anything different in the energy, if you can feel something watching, or notice repeated themes in your life [say you notice a lot of people talking about chakras, or you keep coming across the number 4 or something] these can be hints from Dragons or another spiritual being trying to catch your attention.
