It would be great to have an app for the site.
It would also be nice if all of the fantasy spells were taken off the site; I think it would reduce the number of furries(fluffies) on the site. I also noticed the links to other sites were a little outdated.
Scratch what I said about removing the fantasy spells. I now understand why they are there because of the "Dear moderators..." thread, but the other features I mentioned would be nice especially the one about having an app. There aren't too many apps for wiccans on the android market. Having an app could increase the number of users and increase how many people visit the site.
I'm not sure if anyone will see this but I had a few ideas that crossed my mind.
- More ranks in covens would be splendid for example another rank like Advanced Witches where you have to have been in the coven for 6 months to obtain, or an option to write spells in the coven for the coven spell book but to be approved by the council and/or the coven priest/priestess.
- I don't know if people on this site would like this idea but the idea of people having a "home feed" where people they follow/subscribe on this site would be able to post pictures/status', things that cross their mind.
I agree that it would be cool to have a "feed/dashboard/wall/etc." type deal. However, Council/Leadership can post spells and articles for members and a simple suggestion thread takes care of that.
I think if there were more coven membership titles, each group should be able to decide the name and then have a list of options and restrictions. Say I wanted a "Scribe" type membership who could add spells and articles, but I didn't want them to be able to edit the forum. That's how it would differ from a normal Council position.
Some sort of 'forget-me-not' option for when you log in. Whenever my IPod refreshes or has to re-open a page I'm logged out again and have to go Through the whole process of logging back in, relocating whatever I was doing, and retyping if I was working on a forum post or reply. It would be a great help! ;)
You can download Google Chrome on your iPod, and when you enter your information, it'll ask you whether you want to remember this info or not. There, problem solved.
Also, there's no need for an application for phones or small electronic devices. Why make another whole entire software just for people complaining about not using the full site on their phones? We have a fully functioning site here, it's not worth it.
