Just one question, if he wants to break up with you why are you forcing him through magic to help you? I'm just wondering why you would want someone who doesn't love you to love you? If your using a love spell against someone than it isn' real. If you really loved this person than you would want them to love you out of their own accord, not by some spell that could possibly come back and have disastrous consequences. Alright, I know everyone doesn't believe in the rule of three so, I'm putting that out there. Remember, whatever you do in life comes back at you three times. So, please be nice to him and let him use his free will whether to love you or not, just a suggestion.
Love spells for reconciliation need a lot of energy. They are rarely, if ever, a one-shot-and-you're-done type of situation. Your first spell lit a spark, he called you and seemed sweeter, and then the energy fizzled out.
If yu're serious, you need to do a long-standing spell that you work daily or once a week, like every Friday. A container spell is a good choice because you can keep giving energy to it, either some sort of bottle spell or a honey jar spell.

@LdyGry - thank you for your input :) if I were to start this spell tonight and seal the cork onto my bottle, would I just have to meditate with the bottle every day and send energy? Or add ingredients to my bottle?
I like jars with metal lids so that i can burn candles over top of them. The wax builds up and runs down the sides in a beautiful way on jars that a person has worked for a while.
Depending on your spell, i would make an altar of whatever kind you can, put your bottle on the altar - if you can keep it out in the open where you live - and pray/visualize over it every day. Burn fixed candles next to it, rose incense, work a pair of Lodestones nearby, whatever. You can hold the bottle in your hands while you pray, calling his name aloud, gently hugging it or giving it a couple turns to "love him up" and "stir up" his affections.

love spells are just a way for you to force someone to love you. it does nothing but harm to the person your forcing to love you. if you go through with it, it will come back to bite you in the butt three times. remember the law of three.
Forcing someone is hurting someone. It's like taking legs away from someone so they can't walk freely. If you control someone, one day, YOU will be controlled. Karma will bite you back I promise you
Shut up if she wants to do a love spell let her do a love spell! And free will is much larger than you might think, jace you ever used a spell to protect someone from harm? That harm might have been done while thy would have been doing something they wanted to do, but the spell made them not do it... Free will manipulation.
