I think people NEED a dose of reality (especially when dealing with magic), and I haven't seen anyone deliver it better then you have.

Lots of people assume you're a witch therefore you believe in the divine. It's a misconception influenced by tales of witches. [I'll admit when I first learned some people who practice witchcraft were atheist it took me a bit to wrap my head around it] but being a moderator has little to do with faith. Knowledge yes [but you can know stuff and not follow it] mostly don't you need to show maturity, wisdom, and the ability to moderate? People just don't like being told they're wrong, if they can find a 'flaw' with the person who disagrees with them, they can feel somewhat validated I guess. I'd be lying if I said I've never been upset by someone on this [or any] site, but you've got to learn to shrug it off.

Anyway, sorry to hear people are doing this, hopefully it stops.

you bring a lot to this loosely knit community. Seriously, Im surprised if youre sweating this.

You contribute a lot here and a lot of people appreciate that, even if they dont agree with you.

I don't get terribly upset by these remarks.It just gets a bit frustrating getting all these messages. So I thought I would post to say what I think a Moderator is supposed to do; for the general membership.Perhaps to stop members from saying that I cannot be a Moderator because I do not believe in God! I find it more than a bit insulting!

Brysing you are a good moderator even though we do not see eye to eye i think you stand on your own perspective and follow it throughly and can keep it that way. There are so few people like that these days and personally i believe there should be more people like you on this site that can stand for what they believe in. I hope things get better for you and im sorry people are ignorant and they have to show that towards someone who deserves more respect than what most people give here.

Sorry to hear you are being bothered by such ignorance. It''s good that you posted this as a reminder of what Mods do. I have seen others posting about what Mods are expected to do. I hope yours just clears up more. Keep up the great work!

We are right behind you Brysing, I personally find it upsetting that people have messaged you. It is a very narrow minded view to take of anyone, especially a moderator who voluntarily gives up their time to help this site! Furthermore this is a site about promoting the acceptance of a persons beliefs, be them achiest or not.!

Personally I find it reassuring when the higher ups are more skeptical and less naive. By definition supernatural is beyond the laws of nature, and thus impossible. All things must obey the laws of nature; regardless of whether or not it's magick.

Though I'm not an atheist, and don't always agree with your opinion, I respect it. That's what makes this site so beautiful! If we were all the same, with the same opinions, and beliefs, life would be boring! The fact is, your a very knowledgable person, that has so much to offer. Just know that the non-atheist appreciate the work you do too.

don't take them on. They are just children with a hell of a lot to learn. And what do they know.?
