Most of the higher ranks will read the profile after reading a post; depending on the subject of the post, and how it is written.

You know there's a pinned forum in this section about rank, if you scroll down past the definition of each the person details various ways you could get ranked through chat, forum and posted information. Just be helpful and you should get ranked eventually.

Some members that really know their stuff and try to be helpful ne er received a rank,This one member TSilk

And a few others..Unfortunately some people never get ranked just because no one decided to hit the button.

TSilk is no longer a member.It is not so easy as "pushing a button". We read many posts that turn out to have been copied from a book. Very often verbatim! It might take a number of posts before a Moderator "takes notice".
