I would recommend you go back to basics and learn how magick actually works, separate the fact from fiction, then form your opinion. Without doing your homework your argument seems ill informed, irrational, and non-credible. No one will take you seriously, and I can guarantee your statements made a few people chuckle.

Do you cast spells then, Mari? I suppose you could say that any spells you cast alter or affect nature, so you'd be against any spells by that logic. Affecting the nature of chance is the essence of magic, and affecting your chances of love isn't rape. As said before me, if someone isn't already interested, then nothing will happen. It can be comparable to dressing up for a crush. It simply affects the chance.

Also here is some food for thought, because you seemed so intent on judging and condemning those who don't view love spells as rape, contemplate this quote here and maybe you'll find a secret truth hidden.

and like i said earlier it's a different story if it's your will they are tampering with

make up your mind it's either ok or live and let live at least i am consistent.

First off, its not really doing the greater good for anyone in this community, it's just ticking people off. Secondly, there's a difference between consistency and arrogance.

Rape is a very, veryy serious word
its not just a word its a whole sentence. If you use it so lightly, you'll take away from the word and you're hurting people who are in situations where the word is appropriate.

I myself don't condone love spells, to me it just seems too desperate. The way I see it love spells and other spells that manipulate people's will and emotions are terrible, even with good intentions its sketchy. I know people who have described it as black magic.

But rape is not a word to just throw around, I'm not trying to politically correct people, but rape is a huge accusation and you're taking away from the word. I don't want to offend anyone on here because everyone has their own opinion and beliefs in magic but Love spells DON'T work like they do in movies. NO ONE will fall mindlessly in love with you in an instance just because you lit some red candles. You just can't rape someone with a love spell.

Love spells and Rape are just not comparable

Lust is diferente from love. you can love someone and still choose not to have sex, the opposite is also true. People still retain the free will... and unless someone is attracted to you in the first place things down there will not work.
