Also if we all live on this earth then why do we have different religions instead of one and why doesn't everyone practice magick?Thats a question I wonder too.

You want to know, on the other hand i don't. I think that's the fun of it :D I like not knowing if i go to heaven or hell, summerland, new life or if i just shut off completely. I like learning others beliefs and adding to the pile of possibilities.
I think that's a question that can't be answered by a living person with certainty. Enjoy now, worry later :D

The various religions developed in small local arenas, sprouted new ways that were taken elsewhere, co-opted and combined with religions the travelers brought, etc etc.

It's poison spread the same way humans did.

As for everyone not using magick, aside from religion. Blame the inability of the average human mind to grasp something more than what we are and sense, physically. Small minds do NOT work with great tools.

All though all religions differ around the world. They all use magick. Spell casting and and rituals can be seen as prayers. A message being sent out in hopes that the universe will answer the plea and bend itself to fit the demand placed upon it. In every religion there are prayers and rituals, its is just their way of showing devotion to their god and ask for help in their daily lives.

And as many have stated, god has all faces and no faces, "I am who I am" (Moses and the burning bush), and so every religion in a sense prays to the same God, and their prayers and rituals are like witchcraft because their prayers ask for a shift in cosmic energy to suit their wants or needs (much like spell work). Prayers follow the same structure as spells just FYI :D

Any comments on this?

Well, I myself believe in the harmony between Magick and Christianity. Born into a Christian family that discourages magick, I keep my craft secret. But I am not the melody of either Wiccan nor am I the stubborn minor melody of Christian thought, I am transcended between and above the two paths and walk along Heaven myself as a harmony, Christian Wiccan. I am both, not one or the other, Jesus had used magickal abilities to heal, to grant the souls into the dead to come from their sleep. Moses called upon the greatness of God to seperate the Reed Sea (not Red Sea, there was a mis-translation) to escape the egyptians with his people. I believe God only wishes for us to not use Black Magick for any reason for it is a devilish temptation, and has been tempted to me more than three times by lesser demons. I believe in the Lord in my heart whom loves me and the purely White Magick I practice, with harm to none nor myself. The Bible was not constructed by God fully, it was made by humans deciding which to put in and which to leave out.

Hey grg, this might end badly but, maybe you should go back to that church and tell those Christian people how wrong they were about magic. This is just my opinion, I think that at every church they should have someone who practices Magic come speak at least once and then it might open people's eyes and show them that we're not people who sacrifice goats and pigs, who cut themselves, and sell our souls to the devil. It might actually disprove some of the bias that goes around churches. What do you guys think? It might end badly in some places but in others it might actually open people's eyes.

As much as we talk about Christianity viewing those of specific practice with equality and unbiased acceptance there's an awful lot of blame going towards them as supposedly the only religion against magic. There are other, smaller religions that have similar thoughts that often go unnoticed.

Not to mention they (Christianity) aren't exactly against "magic", it is the "Black Arts" that is specifically mentioned in the Bible as Satan using the living to do his dirty work. It's pretty much spellcraft that Christianity is totally against, not specifically magic as a whole.
The problem most Christians have with magic anyway is generated from purely not knowing and at that, not caring what the difference is between a luck spell and a curse. They hear Wicca and assume they're some stereotypical disturbed teenager who thinks she's possessed by demons.

So wherever I can I tend to just try explaining the actuality of things.
