I believe that what you say is or was true but over time the meaning of the word has changed. Now whenever someone says the word demon the first thing to pop into your head is a mutated or disfigured human/something which is actualy a chimera. you see the word demon as i think people now see it is any living thing that is so mutated that they are frightened by it. for example a minotaur, cyclops, or jersey devil. (goat man with giant bat wings, commonly used for Satan) Anything along those lines could be considered a demon. I am not saying in anyway that i think this way but i feel that we must see things the way others see them also. I hope this helps.
Very interesting topic. I am not saying this is fact, as I heard it from a friend, but from what I have heard a fallen angel is an angel that lost its faith, and a demon was supposed to be a negative spirit in the views of some Christians.
I would not consider demons "evil". I feel that humans calling them into our realm makes them volatile. Most do so to try to control them or force them to do their bidding. Their ignorance is their downfall.
If demons are called upon with respect they will show respect in return. I know this from personal experience.
Jarapah, you do realize that your claim would require a full report from millions(or possibly just thousands) of people documenting every single existing demon to be classified as a fact, right? I find it very hard to believe that has ever been done. It may be more accurate to say that you yourself have met seventy two "friendly"(not "human friendly") demons.
The reason I say "friendly"(not "human friendly") is that some demons may just not like you for who you are and it may not have anything to do with you being human. As such, they would not be friendly to you , but may be friendly to others.
For example; I have found that I do not get along with any demons known by Western cultures, however I get along great with the demons known by Eastern cultures and specifically the Japanese demons.
That is true it does on the one who calls it. Or in my case one who is living as a human with a demon on the inside. Just to note one can be born with a demon on the inside.
You've missed some posts of mine, Raven. I found that the demons known in Western cultures do not fit with me, I don't trust them and likewise they do not trust me(perhaps our mistrust for eachother only fuels our own paranoia), but demons from Eastern cultures fit with me just fine. I have been working with demons known in Japan for quite awhile now. Specifically Ameonna, she is very helpful and delightful to speak with.
Serpant, your post seems somewhat random to me. I don't see any argument taking place nor anything about anything lethal. Demons can be dangerous, but I haven't heard of someone dieing from them yet. I suppose it may have happened before, but so long as you know what you are doing and know proper manners you shouldn't have to worry.
lol. That's why demons are dangerous to most people. Most people don't have manners.
I'm still trying to sort out demons' attitudes towards me. So far I know of a few legions that like me and as far as I know the rest hate me. I say they're all just haters :P
