Why would somebody want to control the Elements? o_O Some people are like, I want to control demons, I want to control spirits, I want to control angels. -WHY-? What would you do that for? It's impossible to control the elements, or master them or whatever. And I honestly can't get why would somebody want to control them. Like Esprit said , we honour them, we respect them in our practices. We learn from them, we connect with them. But why would one want to control them, is what I don't really get. *Shrugs*.
You would control the elements because they are meant to be controlled!! Look at what we humans do in the non-magickal world anyway!! Dams, Building, Planes, Flamethrowers...anyway. You control the elements because they are meant to be worked with...if you cannot understand this concept, then you have no business in elemental workings. Jeeze people! Why must you always be so conflictive!!???
That is not controlling anything. That is understanding and learning from our surroundings and forming a connection with it. We did not manipulate the air into making the plane fly, we learned about and worked with the air to enable it to fly. Bernoulli's principle is something natural and not forcing or manipulating it to fly. We are working with the river and knowing how it flows to irrigate it and build the dam. And thank you Agama. <3
FALSE: Whenever we build dams...we are controlling the flow of the water (the entire Euphrates can be stopped with just the push of a button). Whenever we build islands (yes, Dubai in middle east, FYI) we are doing so with Earth. Once again, when we build flamethrowers, we are controlling Fire (yada yada about the technicality of it...the point is that the flame goes where we want it!). O, and as for Air...tell me: have you ever heard of a fan? how about an Air Compressor unit (A.C. unit)? Both of those are controlling the air...I don't really care about the technical aspect of it at this point...my point is this: are we in some way, by some laws controlling element _____? Yes. If that can be done in the natural, in the magickal, it may take more time, but can be done. It is ridiculous to rule out something just because you haven't seen it or it hasn't made headlines worldwide. There are many people who think all magick is fake, just as you (whoever you may be) on here think kinesi of the elements is fake.
No, we're not conflictive. We just disagree with this whole " controlling the elements",thing. Can you make it rain? I don't think so. I believe it's not possible to control or master the elements. That is just ME. That's what I ,personally believe. You think it's possible. I'm okay with it. I just don't get why we "must" control everything.
Controlling, or rather, 'managing' the elements is what gave us our civilised world. That is, tempering the world around us in such a way as we have ease with living within it. So, of course that is possible. The notion of controlling weather, fire, electricity, etc, with no tool but our own will, is complete rubbish! Meh. Hopeless, deluded, pseudo-romantic, drivel!
its actually not impossible. Maybe its impossible to gain full control of it, but to make the fire bend to your will ? Buddy , i've Done it , you need to master telekinesis first then you move on to mater an elemental kenisis, Me : fire . i can split it make it grow/move , and can start it on a REALLY soft objest like a sheet of toilet paper.
