I agree with what have been mentioned above .You do not need to be Wiccan to practice witchcraft .You may consider working with Angels and Archangels and get to know a bit more for Ceremonial magic for it uses God names and Archangels in some of its rituals .It also can teach you how to work with the different aspects of God and how to connect with the archangels .Also you can have a look on Kabbalah (Quabalah ) and its teachings for it also has to do with your religion to certain extend .There is nothing wrong to use Psalms also or prayers .I use all of those and i have no problem combining them ,however despite i have been baptised into Orhtodox Christian Church and i still respect this religion i use prayers mixed with another paths .Also you may want to look into Santeria for it also works with chatholic saints .Sometimes i pray too to Catholic saints such Saint Anthony of Padua ,so i do not see why that should be a problem .Give it a try if you feel uncomtable with those paths or with witchcraft you always can ask for forgivness and come back in your old ways of following to the letter what your religion requires .

you don't have to practice magic to be wiccan and you don't have to practice wicca to do magic.

magic is energy, you're casting a spell to shift the energy to help you with a problem. many religions have similar things, a big example is prayer, you could call it a chant, what you're doing is concintraiting and asking for something [bless this food, protect my mother, help my team win the big game] so you don't need to follow a pagan path to study magic, that's the best thing about magic, it's so open, it doesn't matter your belief so long as you know what you're doing.

Hi User71470,

A witch is anyone who casts spells. Even Satanists and Christians could be considered witches if they cast spells and do magic, but they aren't Wiccan because they follow a different religion than Wiccans. A Wiccan is someone who follows the religion of Wicca, which is an officially recognized religion just like Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Buddhism. If you get nothing else from this, remember that "Wicca" is the name of the religion and "Wiccans" are the followers of Wicca. So you wouldn't say, "I have a friend who is Wicca." Instead, you would say that your friend is Wiccan.

According to the Wiccan Rede, which are the rules that Wiccans abide by, Wiccans are not supposed cast harmful spells. The Wiccan Rede says, "And ye harm none, do what ye will."

Someone who claims to be a "witch" but who is not "Wiccan" is not following the religion of Wicca. Therefore, they do not have to follow the rede. So they can throw curses at you from across the room.

If you think you want to be Wiccan, or you want to know the difference in Wicca and witchcraft, here are some useful pages to read that explain the difference:

Im christian wicca to and in many places of the bible it mentions spells and such magick is good and bad and the fear of magick in religion derived from preists feeling threatened by people able to heal and protect themselves without paying in the churches in the middle ages and the witches and wicca who practiced dark magick

Everyone has different believes, you can be what you choose. If you choose to believe in God and practice witchcraft than its your belief. You can be whatever you wish and none can get in the way of that.

hello i'm also a christian witch and didn't let my parents know because they might not forgive me and worst of all they might stop me to do magick for magick is my life :)
well in my opinion i think witchcraft is just borrowing christ's energy=the nature, the universe and by the way if you do cast spells, instead of putting the gods/goddess' name on the parayer just substitute it with lord,i did it on my previous spell casting and still the spell works :) so i think christianity is not a hindrance in the craft...just my opinion :)
Blessed be...
