Try talking to him about your problems and see if there is anything you can do to mend the relationship, or if he is willing to work things out with you. If not then maybe it's just not meant to be. I understand that you care for him but trying to use spells to control him isn't going to make it better, in the end it will only make it worse. Try to move on and grow from the experience.
