lol. I see. I learned it in exactly that way. I've studied shamanism for over 3 years now. I suppose there a more than one way. Each person must find which suits them best. It's good to see people who put great effort and detail into their practice. Don't want anyone hurt or stuck in an animal form. Kudos to you.

White Nashoba,
Thanks for the kudos I try my best. I think another reason why I get so long winded is because I had to learn everything on my own. I didn't have a mentor or teacher and I sure did make a lot of magical boo boos so when someone asks such a question I feel that need to answer with as much detail as possible. :)
I definately don't want someone stuck or hurt while in animal form. Of course when I tried I felt a lot of pain all over my body. Think my body and mind weren't ready for it at all.
Just out of curiosity do you know of any good books on shamaism. I find it hard to find books about shamanism think I have like 5 so far. I read them and loved them though I couldn't deal without having my material possessions cause well I love to get on my computer and love to read (have over 300 some books) and giving them up or not caring about them for some reason I can't shake that even if they are material and can be replaced they hold sentimental value. :) Thats what one of the books that I have read said...that you have to give up material possessions in order to proceed further.
death_flower girl you are a trip. I have to say that cause so far both your posts have made me laugh not because of the content because of how you worded it. :)

death_flower I didn't take it as you being rude far from it.
And thats great that you have that kind of bond with your dog. My cat and I have somewhat of that bond we're still working on it. I have had her since she was a kitten but she is a strange one. The only cat I know that snuffs her up at human food like cold cuts or turkey or anything like. I usually spoil my animals during the holidays by giving them their own plate of food though everytime I have tried to do that for her she just walks away. lol So think she is still learning to trust me a great deal. She trust me enough for some things and even practices magic with me but she doesn't trust me enough to let me in her mind. Like I said she is a weird one but would never give her up. :)

I only have a few, but they are very good. On is "The Way of the Shaman" by Michael Harner. Another is "Animal Speak" I'm not sure the author on that on since I don't have it with me at the moment. A good site to check out is www.isisbooks.com. It has a few over shamanism. I suggest the first book though.

No problem. I agree, his book has helped me a lot. A good site to see is www.isisbooks.com. It has a wide variety of books, a few on shamanism. It's a good site. I also buy herbs from them.
