If most of the spells are fake why have a spell section at all? There is really no point to it. It would be better to scrap the spell section and rework it into something explaining how to make your own spells and a general outline on which spells won't work. All the posting of spells could just go into a forum section. Why continue a section that most true practitioners will never use?
You can't become a mermaid, or a vampire, or a werewolf, or anything else you can think of. Your human, that's that. Spells can't change what you are. So the ones you see about becoming a mermaid or a vampire, are fake. Just ignore them.
If the spells are to lure people in then stop insulting them if they act fluffy. By keeping those vamp spells YOU ARE INVITING FLUFFS. So knock it off for the insults and rude comments you lured them in you better deal with them.
Refer back to what Ldy said: Mods cannot delete spells. We do our best to monitor things posted in forums and in the chatter. If you're looking for accuracy, try to use the rating system, common sense, or don't refer to the spells section at all. This has all been said before. Yes, there are spells in there that do not work: but most of them are obvious. If you believe one to be a "fluffy" spell, rate it low.
Yes, there are many fake spells on this sight. But you should use your judgement. 1st) you cant alter your appearance, you can just create the illusion to yourself. so you know that the spells to make yourself beautiful or whatever, it only appears that way to yourself.
2.) When you try to do a spell, know that it could be a fake, so try to get multiple spells that serve the same purpose that you could do.
I know this has been said before, but....I really don't see the sense of the people on here who insult people for believing that they can change themselves into a mermaid with a spell when there is a whole section of spells in the spell section on how to do it. If it's there and the site professes to be a serious site to teach "real" magick, then ofcourse people are going to believe every word of the spells section. No one should attack people for believing what is written in something that is suppose to be real on here. [and this is not at all directed at Satans Son, it's just something I'm saying in general.]
Also, someone on here once said that a lot of the goofy spells in the spells section came from some children's book. If that's true, then atleast removing the spells that came from a work of fiction shouldn't hurt anyone's feelings. And be easier to detect, I also suppose....unless ofcourse they came from the book, but were added by members, not the site owner/mods.
If you are here, you have acknowledged that magic is being performed and is real. Does that mean we truly understand what magic is? I don't believe so. We understand what magic is to ourselves. Not as a group. Spells are instructions. Spells are emotions that we package in words. Spells are desires and needs that we humbly request from the universe, and the energy around us.
If you go and say something isn't possible, you are limiting your vision and understanding of what the world is capable of.
I've seen the wiccan priest and priestess approach of "magic is nothing magical." Which is designed to eliminate any "fluffy" version that hollywood and television has developed into something it's not. Which is true.
But magic is so much more than that. Once you realize what magic is about. Which in my opinion is the most beautiful part of learning magic. Magic is what you make of it.
