Heywhatsup; that is what all posts are, people's opinions. Far from being "close minded" I very open minded. But I am also a realist. If some young and vulnerable person asks "how can I jump off a high building without hurting" I will try to tell them not to do it. When the young imagine that nothing is impossible with magic, I think I have a moral duty to tell them it is not so. I think that I should always try to point out the difference between reality and fantasy; what is possible in magic, and what isn't.
Hellooo, i was only sharing one of the wow moments in my life. Ill never really know why it rained that night. Brysing is probably right. May be it was just meant to rain. Or maybe the good lord saw two kids playing and suddenly developed a sense of humour. I was a kid when this happened. But Ive grown up to believe that one mustnt really try to alter the course of nature.
...And heywhatsup, Im thankful that Brysing is around. When it comes to mystical arts, there is a very fine line between fantasy and reality.
There is no way to control the weather, there are certain rituals that can promote such happenings, like rain dancing, but this doesn't mean that it is going to change the weather.
I'm not disagreeing with you brysing. But I'm not agreeing with you either. I too believe one does not control the element but works with them. I believe its possible to call on them, but not make a snow storm for a snow day or something extreme like that. Understand? And I understand your need to tell people what is real and fantasy, but sometimes it may not be your place. Maybe people need to make that realization for themselves
Heywatsup, understand that not everyone does learn from their mistakes. It's good to address them so very unfortunate mistakes aren't made. We can't have people running around thinking asinine things, it's not good for the person, other people around them, or the magic community.
I am not meaning to "inform" people in general. I am talking about guidance for the young and vulnerable. Adults, if rational, are usually able to distinguish between reality and fantasy. It is the young who need guidance. It is the young who believe in Harry Potter, and all the movies and TV shows.
I support honeydew poin of view .I have so deep respect toward nature that i will never even even think to mess with its ways .
Nature is balanced most of us are not or if some are they are not always in perfect balance .If something in nature occurs there is reason for it sadly now too many bad things occur because of polution and other factors .
