why cant the wand be maide by any kind of wood ??

Wands can be made of any type of wood, as well as other materials such as glass or metal. Generally people stay away from things that aren't natural, such as plastic.

Knowing and making wands according to their type of wood can be path specific and help you learn of and work with the energy from the tree(s) came from.

I agree with the other posters. I've seen some nice wants made of clay and gemstones :) It's mostly personal preference. It should definitely be something that vibes well with you though! :)
