I want to make a set of Runes and I want to use stone or crystal. The question is is there a certain kind of stone that would be better than another? What I really want to do is use and assortment of differnt stone/crystal . Can any one help?

Traditionally runes are made of wood, but there's no reason not to make them from stone. Personally my favorite stones for making runes are some well-worn river stones that have been smoothed by the action of water.

You can find runes in stone form. At alot of sites online. It depends on what stones yr drawn too. I personally prefer Sodalite for using with runes. just my personal preferance. But I made mine with wood at my home.poplar I believe.

Honestly I think you should use any stone that calls to you. Use whatever one catches your eye. That's the best way to do it in my opinion.
