musical instrumensts as wans/staffs?

I was wondering can a flute be used as any other wand or a staff?
I mean it is made of wood and can be pimped with runes, sigils, crystals etc.

My second question is: can metal objects be used as wands or staffs?
Metal is made out of "earth" so it could work right?

As far as your question goes, a Flute made from wood is as good a wand as anything, and it also serves a dual purpose, music is also very magical. If it works for you then it is fine, plus it brings less questions from others that are not initiates.

And your finger can also do the job well if you are without any tools. It's all about intent. :O)

Not only can a musical instrument work, but anything can work. Seeing as magic only works if you believe in it, then suffice to say wands, staffs, or anything else can be used. Everything has energy, what makes certain items work better then others for certain people is the fact that the energy of the item is in sync with the person. If you want to use the flute do it, but cleanse it first then insert your energy into it.

Placing it in moonlight for a night works for cleansing it and so does placing it in the freezer over night. Once it's cleansed, meditate with it and picture your energy flowing into it and see the intent you have for it flow with your energy into the item. Hope this helps

Idea of a flute came to me while watching a Harry Potter movie few years ago. I thought to myself: why doesn't anyone there have a flute/wand?!
