well when i was starting out, I just researched as much as I could around the web. I eventually learned that newbies like us need to learn meditation which seems almost essential in magick. that website helped me out alot with magick. not only did it teach what to do first but it also helped me gain more of an idea of what magick really is. hope this helps :)

Or, you can go to your local Barns & Nobles / Borders and ask the workers there if they can lead you to the 'Occult' section. You'll find LOTS of help there.
