I am not curious about this for use on someone....but I saw in a death spell on here "you will need death essence, and a lot of it."
What is Death Essence, and how do you make/get it?
From what I've learned about Necromancy "Death Essence" is the will and intent that you have to be able to hurt or kill someone, but having lots of it comes with a price, I would advise you to steer well clear of it.
I know there is some people on here that practice Necromancy and that is their will and choice to so.
Death essence is much more then the simple intent to kill. It is the Essence of death itself. A tangable current of the energies of the grave, netherworld, and mortality combined.
The energies of death can be controlled and manipulated, this gives the practitioner understanding of spirits and the human soul. As with any energy it can cause harmful or benificial effects in others you use it upon, if you understand how.
Death energy is not something our bodies naturally accept, and there are concequences for delving into the mysteries of Death.
You don't need to get "death" on your "side". What you need is the proper connection to the energies you seek to understand.
You can use a Death entity as a means to facilitate the connection, but there are other means. Azreal, the angel of death, has become popular for this practice (ie westgate necromantic, but any specific diety of death could substitute.)
Necromancy Should be about respect and wisdom, not power and recklessness. It is truly a path where experiance is far more key then books can give, and should never be taken without good reason.
Death Essence is the physical current of death energy. It is death energy on physical level of reality.
It is first form of death energy most necromancer start with,as it is closely linked to physical world. It is dim colored(in my personal experience dark green and various shades of other colors within),it is like fog or mist in form, and often feel dark, cold, heavy to those experiencing it first time(before attuning to it).
I would recommend to have caution and respect,as it may negatively affect is user, and attract entities of death.
Becoming familiar and understanding death essence is a good start into necromancy,as one becomes attuned to it,i would advice after spending more time learning from entities of death as well as start using more etherical forms of death energy.
@Flagg I know that death essence is more than just the intent to kill or harm but the complexities of Necromancy go way over my head, was the best way I had to describe it and meant no offence to your craft.
Plus the morning I've been having I might be walking down the dark path LOL! just kiddin think i'm awhile away from that ;P
Alot of the complexities stay complex, because Necromancers tend to be often the most silent about the hows/whys of their practices. I believe, personally, that some things can be taught.. But they must be experianced for the knowledge to be worth anything. Often such knowledge makes us the stronger for it, if it is self discovered.
It's true...the more I learn about necromancy, the more complex and non-understandable it gets... but then again I only learn about the theory and the knowledge aspect of it. I don't practice so I guess experience is the greatest way of learning then? Still, it is a very intresting form of the craft and I enjoy learning about it. Are there any knowledgable teachers out there? I'd like to pick at your brains! PLEASE?
