I am trying Astral Projection for a year now and it seems i can't succeed! The meditating part is good i my whole body is thingling because i relaxed all of my body! And when the visualization comes I mess things up! I am trying to visualize in my mind a rope on the ceeling and how my astral arms go out of my body and grab the rope then pulling my astral body out of my phsihical body! But in the meantime i get new toughts and mess things up! Any sugestions??
I would suggest practicing getting to and maintaining an altered state of consciousness (through meditation, trance, hypnotism). Also, i think with your problem it would be a good idea to maybe try another method. Try using the dream state method, in which you lay on your back and let your mind get to a state in which it starts putting of random dream-like nonsense. Once you get to the beginning of the dream-state, you will know that you are in enough of an altered state of consciousness to project. Try to maintain the dream state (to some extent, don't get stressed if you stop seeing the dream scenery because it doesn't matter, but it can help if you need it). When I started out I would practice moving the limbs of my astral body out until I moved onto my head.
Here's my technique if you'd like to give it a try:
-Meditate until the whole body is relaxed and thoughts subside
-Lay down (belly-side up) and rest until the dream state comes about
-Tingling sensation and separation
focus on being in your relaxed, meditative state. once you are relaxed enough, visualize yourself floating upwards from your body, through the ceiling and slowly into the sky. see the roof of your house slowly become farther away as you float upwards. feel the slight breeze and the joy that you feel as you float. see the ground below and the tops of the trees. try to forget about your body lying in your bed. as you ascend, admire the clouds around you. as you continue upwards the view of the tops of the clouds leaves you in a state of wonder. slowly leave this earth's atmosphere. see the earth you have just left and look at the Moon orbiting her (the earth). feel her loving energy. then one of your guardian spirits or another should help you from there. you can even call on the Moon goddess, Diana, to help you and show you where to go and what to do. this exercise worked for me when i was projecting :). you should probably do this exercise in a circle so you are protected from any harmful spirits or energies. hope i helped!!
Also last night before i went to sleep! I tryed to relax and i hoped that i would maybe manage to Astral Project because when we go to sleep we all are basicly Astral Projecting! And i reached a part that I couldn't feel my body anymore and most of my body had this strange tinglig bu nnot my head! And aftehr that I feel asleep
Wait untill you are partly hypnotized. If you can still think, you are ready to start trying to pull out. Your mind should be as if half asleep but still conscIous.
