I probably should have introduced myself first before diving right into the forums. Originally, I joined in order to rate some of the spells that have been successful, people need to know! lol
I practice but cannot formally call myself a witch and am not a wiccan; I respect these people and don't want to misrepresent them.
My first experience with magic was a negative one, I was a pre-teen and something...happened. In high school, went overseas with my parents who met a priestess who said I was in danger. Being a 'good daughter' I went along with the gag. Until, suddenly the things...stopped happening, and I felt hunger again, for the first time in 3 years ( I thought I had depression).
Anyhow, I took notice of things I could do naturally, started formal study for the sake of protection then moved on to doing...some neat things.
I'm not looking to become 'Samantha Stevens,' what I'm able to do suits me just fine, but...my goal is to stop unintentionally casting (when a negative thought overwhelms and materializes) w/o binding myself, can anyone relate?

You simply need to learn control. Meditation will help with that. Uncontrolled casting is due to a lack of control of your feelings and energy movements. Connecting you body and mind will help you to keep track of the energy moving through your body. This way when you have a pool of energy that you are releasing into the universe from your body your mind knows about it and you can stop it when it is unwanted. When you have control you will also be able to to cast This is why those who do not have control over their casting can't cast when they want to.
