Wiccans eat the placenta?

Do wiccans really eat the placenta after birth???!!!!

Thats one of the oddest questions/statements i have come across in a while. I know what you mean but its not just one group of people could be anyone who wishes to after the birth of there child. Ma i ask where you heard this from?

No, it's not something Wiccans have to do, or anyone has to do.

Some people from various paths choose to eat the placenta because of it's nutritional value and even some forms of medicine contain it, but it's not something only Wiccans do or something they must do.

As most births are now in a hospital, eating the placenta has sort of gone out of fashion. It used to be quite common! Many mothers in old times would cook it!
