Ok so, some people are saying things like ''Ohh Magik is Dangerous'' , or something like ''Don't play with magik it's not safe'' So can someone please tell me how magik is Dangerous?
If you don't use it for malevolent intentions, then it's not. People ALSO say it's the work of the devil, but that's not true either. Don't believe everything you hear...
Not to scare anybody but if your not careful you can actually kill yourself and others. But as long as you don't try to harm anyone or yourself magic can be a very useful tool.
First of the guy who said it is not the works of Satan. True it isn't, but there are satanist's on this site, so please stop using Satan as a metaphor for all things bad.
Second magick is VERY dangerous, spells backfire all the time, and the result usually isn't pretty.
if your intention is bad with magick then it will backfire and it will come back to you 3 times as bad according to the law of 3 if you have good intentions you have nothing to worry about the color of magick is purely based on the intention with the spells that are cast

None of the actual dangers of magic have actually been described thus far.
Spells do not backfire, they are just ill conceived. Examine the possibility of what could happen to the greatest extent, prepare yourself for every possible outcome, and understand that magic follows the same rules of cause and effect as anything else.... If you wander out there thinking everything will be just as you wish it just because you wish it then yes, spells might "backfire," simply because you are too short-sided to see more of the possibilities that might result from your actions.
The law of three, where what you put out there comes back to you three fold, is a wiccan thing. Many people do not believe in it. I do not believe in it. Sure, the old saying "You reap what you sew" always applies. This does not mean that the universe will come back and haunt you for what you've done. It just means that if you sew discord and vengeance... that's what you get. If you create a peaceful world around yourself with love and so forth... well, that's also what you get.
You will not kill yourself with magic. I don't know what's wrong with the people on this site, but they seem intensely gullible and melodramatic about such things.
Most damage that you might experience in actual magical practice is psychological in nature, and even then it is typically self inflicted ("I know magic so I'm all powerful and now very delusional"). Understanding yourself, possessing confidence within yourself, and understanding what you practice will go a long, long way in helping to prevent any possible harm.
Just study, practice, and don't believe all of the crap people say.
Spells are all about energy and intention, therefore they will not fall prey to any negative intention unless that is your ultimate intention and/or the type of energy you put into casting your spell.
Magic rarely kills! rarely. and yes some spells are dangerous, but even if they do backfire, it is only temporary. we learn from our mistakes better than our successes, so there is always a danger involved. even if it is dangerous, we all still do it, so that should mean something, right?
