Im curious to know who here came from powerful people in the past...random question, i know.

I presume you are meaning genealogy, and not past lives? The closest I've come (to my knowledge) to anyone of note, is that a many-greats Grandfather Moss lived in New Hampshire (shoot, or was it Connecticut) in the 1600's, and was mayor for over 60 years. He lived to be something like 109, which I had professed doubt over. The answer I got back was that he was definitely that old, and that he'd retired at the age of 100, insisting younger people should do it, and that he'd been mayor ever since he was 40. Sixty years was long enough, he stated in his retirement speech. Just the fact that he retired at 100, at a time when most people didn't live to be 50, gives me a feeling of awe.

I guess I must have misunderstood the question. I thought you were asking about "powerful" in the magical sense. I do not come from this type of "power" but I do come from a long line of magical people.

i meant either one..really. i am also from a long line of magical people. My family, however, fears magic, as it has always had negative effects on my family. im beginning to believe that we are cursed or something.
all i know is that everyone is very wary of me practicing wicca

So all are Wiccan? What issues are there? Wicca says "Ley no harm be done" perhaps not a curse on your family exactly but rather something someone has done that carries a strong ripple to the family. Consider karma as well as your suspected "curse". Also...do you not know how to remove a curse?

My Great aunt was a high priestess but after her death(her rather mysterious death) people in my family just stopped i guess.

^_^ well, I do not even remember my grandmas name when I was at her funeral....so yeah, I think I will leave it like that.... I cannot remember much of my family..

yeah my family's kind of like that too...i cant ever remember which uncle is which....and why they were disowned...ha sad but most of them were for one reason or another...
