Witch's Power

Ok. So I've seen a lot of spells browsing through the spellbooks about taking another witch's power as your own. But all of these I've seen require some sort on wand work, incantation, time, moon phase, et cetra. I have two questions in this concern.
1: a lot of people who are not pagan in belief or practice have some kind of power be it healing, psychic, or what ever else. So is the practice of taking another witch's power as your own limited to only witch's as implied and obviously stated or is the matter open for general people witch or not?
2: I don't really like doing spells that involve incantations. I prefer energy work without vocalization or any utinsil of any type. But I will do so if need be. So hypothetically speaking if I were to take another person's power as my own can I do so just as effectively by doing so through energy work alone as I could with an incantation and the required items (if any items are needed)?

Thanks but I realize that 'tis it was really a hypothetical question. It's like you see some thing so many times and you don't necessarilly believe in it to be true but you think about it any ways. That's just me. I know what real and what's fake on SoM. But that doesn't stop me from thinking of some thing in specific done another way.

i dont think it would be advisable to take another witches power :/ think of how you would feel if someone stole yours?

Like I said: it's hypothetical. Whether I take some one's power or not is not the point. The point is can it simply be done by energy work alone. A lot of times you cannot learn to defend until you know exactly what you are defending against. Hence the hypothetical question of can it be done. Not for the purpose of doing it for the sake of knowing it and how to counteract against the act if need be in future times. Now that iactually think about it it's basically a more powerful type of psychic vampirism except it's taking powers. Not just energy. How would you feel if you didn't know the full details of the attack it self and couldn't properly defend your self from lack of knowledge on the attack and the practice of what to do in defense therefore your an easy forget for some one to take your energy from you? Don't get me wrong. I mean no disrespect because I'm enjoying this debate but some thing like that could easily be avoided.

if someone was stealing my energy i would steal it back lol... i know psi vampirism though iv only tryed and succeded once im sure i could do it again if i ever decided too. (bad experiance dont try it)

Lolz. What made it a bad experience for you?

The worst outcome I've had from vamping is the confused looks I got as I tapped the shoulder of friends for a boost of energy during a jog session in P.E.. it worked until I got discouraged due to lack of friends in range, lol.

Wow. That's crazy. I've tried vamping some one's energy. One person took no notice to it. Another person looked confused. I suspect she felt it but was unsure of what exactly she felt.

Yup. I do things like that to find the "sensitive" folks in town.. It's become a game of sorts.. but I don't always vamp.. sometimes I set off a bomb and check who reacts.. but back to the point. If you consider each person has a potentially unlimited power source, draining may be possible, but never permanent. As for the "skills" of a mystic.. unless bound from doing harm, they are there forever. Like riding a bike, the experience cannot be taken.
