As many of you know, I am a member of many different web sites. I am constantly in learning mode, and I would like to believe I am very open minded. So I go to many sites, to learn, to participate when I can, and to grow.
The sites I am a member of vary to a degree in terms of what the initial instinct suggests at the type of sites. From empath sites, to pagan, to wiccan to magick.
Whether I am online at Empath Zone, or sites like Mystic Wicks or SoM I am seeing something that many do not consider. the content, the forums, the blogs …. are the same. It is the labels that change, as well as the energy of each particular site.
The members create the energy, and that is why I prefer certain sites to others, but, if you take the time to read the forums, be it at Pagan Underworld or Empath Zone, or Spells of Magic, or so many others… The content in the forums is the same.
The reason I started looking more closely into this, was because a fellow member at a Magick site asked me if I was a Witch. My automatic answer was “no.”
I explained what I do, what I believe, and a general description of me, and the response was.. “so, yes you are then.…”
Instead of sweeping this under the rug as being someone who may not know me well, I looked deeper, I paid more attention… and came to a new truth for me…
He was right.
It is all just labels that confuse us and make us think in a certain way.
I looked through all the forums in that site, the site for practitioners in witch craft, and guess what, the real ones (not the fluffies) asked all the questions that would be asked on a Light workers site, or an empath site..
-What is meditation?
-What are the basics?
-How do I center?
-How do I ground?
-How do I find my element?
-How many elements are there?
-How do I send or work with energy?
-How do I communicate with my guides?
Etc. etc. The core is the same. It is just labels. Understanding and working with energy, elements, guides, totems, Spirits, Light, ….all of it…
We may use different wording… some say pray, some say meditate, some say cast a spell… but it is all the same thing, at the core.
I think all of us need to cast away with the labels, and really take a hard look at the truths. I now understand that I fit under many labels, yet I wish to discard them all.
I think I know what you are trying to say, in some way someone who is learning to do anything has to follow the basics to a degree, but the label goes to how peope use what they know and to what purpose, which is what decides how the label should be portrayed. Even though all the principle are the same in the learning of the basics and so forth.
