making spirits leave

Hi I was wondering which of the following makes unwanted spirits leave the house

) burn basil and sage at all corners of the room/house
2) Put on loud church music for a few hours every day
3) Read Biblical extracts very loudly and use prayer to scare it off
4) Tell it to get lost and threaten with banishment
5) Get holy water from the local church and throw it at it.
6) Throw rock salt at it while telling it to get lost

If the spirit doesn't leave when asked, why not just banish? Church music isn't going to do anything, it would make me leave though, just because it would drive me crazy, but so would disco and rap hehehe.
