Oaks and Beeches
By:
Hello all,
I am fairly new to witchcraft, and it really is a wonderful way of life, and I really would love to know more about the nature and some of its connotations and uses.
I live in a rather wooded area, primarily with Oaks, Beeches and Sycamores, and was wondering if anyone had any interesting information about them? :)

I know that the oak tree is strongly attributed to the celtic god of thunder, Thor. So any time you want to make a sacrifice to him give it to the tree. Also you can carve Mijolnir into the tree to make is a nice protector of your home.

Oak can be used in spells for protection, strength, success and stability, healing, fertility, Money, and good luck. Items you can use from Oak are Wood, Leaves bark and acorns in magick. Planetary association is the Sun and also Masiculine.

Beeches is femine type of tree. Good tree to use for wishes.

Sycamores I know nothing of this tree.

@nikolas Thor is not a celtic god, he is the norse god of thunder.

Oak Trees have long been associated with magic and the craft, there is a lot of myth, lore, and legends about Oak trees. Some of what I have researched on Oaks are that they symbolize long life, they have long been portrayed as the mythical tree of life in many depictions. Within a lot of celtic magic and lore especially the druids, tree's play very signifigant roles. Within shamanism, shamans often times will communicate with the trees, as they believe everything in creation has a soul/spirit and is connected. Anyway I suggest doing some detailed research on the subject if your that interested, hopefully I have pointed you in the right direction.
