Something odd happened to me the other night when i was trying to get to sleep (but not asleep). I shut my eyes and an old mans face appeared, it was so real that I could see every pore on his face. It was behind my eyes not a ghost in the room or a person in a dream. I was disturbed and then another face appeared who looked like a boy my daughter had seen on and off, but I couldn't be sure because i had only seen him once in person. I had been targeting quite a bit of energy in his direction on her behalf. This had never happened to me before I didn't recognize the old man. I actually found myself thinking, dear god don't let me see the white light because I thought for a minute I might be dying and these were some weird people come to get me. I have been really stressed lately. Does anyone have an explanation for this, or has anyone experienced something similar?
In response to Drakelius, you have got to be kidding. What is wrong with you! Of course I'm not going to accept my imminent death. Obviously you must be ridiculously young to even say such a stupid thing. I have a family who rely on me. If you don't have anything intelligent to say please don't respond to my questions. I asked for an explanation or if anyone had a similar experience not some 'half baked wisdom' . I was concerned because I had used a black candle to burn off resistance. I had always shied away from them before because the Irish say never burn black candles and I was hoping I hadn't created something negative.
In my experience there have been times when under stress I have had cases of visionary dreams or even astral seperation similar to that wich you described. I would have to ask if these people said anything, beckoned to you or any such? Were you able to move about on your own accord or was it more of a vision or dream? How did it end? Did you just wake up or were you actually pulled back by an unknown force? I had a dream that ended like that. I was pulled back from a point right about the lower back.
There could be a number of explanations to the question.
When the mind is relaxed and open spirit communicate better with us.The old man could be a relative who as passed over but you don't remember him ie: great grandfather, uncle or such. Could also be one of your guides. Yes spirit will show themselves to you in the minds eye. Could be that you were been given conformation that the situation with the young lad is been taken care of. Spirit know our situations our loved ones although no longer on the physical plane will assist from the spirit realm.
When I connect/link to spirit I often get shown images of the person in my minds eye, feel their aliments or how they passed, personality etc. Try not to feel alarmed or scared by this ,if it happens again try communicating with the old man. I'm sure he would like to chat with you. Always remember you are in control not the other way round. If you do not wish to communicate with him thank him for his presence and ask him to leave with respect.(unless you feel it's something negative then command them firmly to leave without fear)
In response to Dillon13, it ended by me opening my eyes and forcing them to go away. As I said it was scaring me and i was frightened that it might be something sinister. These people appeared real and I'm pretty old and I've had never had anything like this happen before. However when I was in my early 20's I did have an out of body experience like you were talking about also when I was stressed. I looked down on my body from above. This only ever happened once.
In response to Bliss. I think you are absolutely right I'm pretty sure it was the boy, but the old man was unknown to me. The faces were so clear it was like a high resolution camera. All of the men in my family and my husbands family are dead (except for some half uncles on his side) and it wasn't any of them,but as you said I never met any great grandfathers so this is a possibility. If it happens again, now that I'm sure I wasn't dying I'll try to take it further.
