Hi everyone,
A friend of mine is wiccan and used to be my teacher, he used to tell me that some of his friends have died because they were in a wiccan war recently in London, And i wanted to know if there is a such thing? He keeps telling me to not tell people im Wiccan or i could be involved in a war and get killed :/
So yeah...
I have heard these things before, though only in the way you stated it. 'A friend/teacher/mentor/wiccan has told me...' There has never been a direct statement made about this. It seems to be some tale that is being told to either scare people or gain control of those that are being told.
As Wicca is a peacful, nature religion I highly doubt that such a 'war' is happening. The idea of a wiccan war goes against the Wiccan Rede. I know a few Wiccan who serve the military may object to that and understandbly so. However to state that Wiccans are actively involved in a war either within the faith or against another is hard to believe.
Who are they supposedly fighting anyway? No one has ever said. In our modern times of instant news and sensational headlines I doubt this would have escaped the media.
Sorry, but your friend is full of it. The sort of war he is talking about did not happen and does not happen within the Wiccan community. That sort of thing is more a Hollywood fantasy.
There are such things as Witch Wars that do erupt from time to time mostly when groups disagree over what the valid way to practice is. But they don't resort to violence or killing anyone. Mostly it is name calling. You can find some excellent information on the topic at http://www.witchvox.com/va/dt_va.html?a=usfl&c=wars&id=2093
One thing that I would recommend, since he obviously doesn't know much about Wicca or is pulling your leg....get a different teacher.
He could be talking about religious fights or anti-wicca attacks, I'm not wiccan but I would probably hear a little about it from wiccan friends and family.
Oh ok he said its a truidal war against satanists?
:/
I know that he does lie because he said he can turn into a tree and run like edward cullen (from twilight)
:/ But thankyou everyone for helping :)
Panda...right there should have set off the warning signs! Unfortunately for us, many who are drawn to magick are very neurotic. It doesn't help the sane ones to be respected either. I'm sure seeing some of the wild fluffy posts here have shown you that much. The reason is, people like this "teacher" of yours, feel they are somehow "different" than the rest of the world and have low self esteem. They are the black sheep so they turn to the black sheep of religion--paganism. They turn to witchcraft because it is not exactly socially acceptable and makes them feel powerful, superficially filling that void in their confidence. But because they aren't mentally and emotionally balanced individuals, they stroke their own egos by pretending they are powerful and wise to the healthy, curious beginner that is still naive and doesn't know better. Or worse yet, truly are delusional individuals that believe what they say is real. They get away with it because another naive person will always come along that will look at them wide eyed and in awe, even for a short time, and they feed off of that.
Yeah that seems like him.
Im kinda scared too because i have a son, and i know he would try casting something on him as he already has when we fell out. Ive been distant with him because he has been giving me such bad headaches that i fall asleep and dont wake up for hours, and has sent a bad spirit in my sons room when we fell ou before. Im just keeping it simple with him for the sake of my son getting hurt. xx
Generally the sort of person who tells these kinds of lies doesn't really know anything about Wicca or Witchcraft and is unable to do anything magically to anyone else. So it's really unlikely he can do anything bad to you or your son.
If you're having really bad headaches you might want to first make certain there isn't a medical reason behind them before you look at them as magical attacks. Stress can cause this sort of problem as can migraines and other neurological problems. I'd suggest talking to your doctor about what's going on.
Of course anyone who is dealing with magic should also know how to appropriately ward and shield their home so that negative energies cannot access those living there. There's an excellent article about wards and shields at http://www.witchvox.com/va/dt_va.html?a=usks&c=words&id=11838 which might give you some ideas as to how to go about protecting your home.
Yeah i guess, its because he used to be an ex of mine, and i broke up with him because of many reasons, one being that he was racist towards me.
And yes i have been to the doctors for my headaches and the results have came back clear, hes even constantly asking me whether i have had a precise number of headaches daily when i actually have. Thankyou for the link its pretty helpful. :)
