Ok here's the thing. Over the summer I went on a vacation to North Carolina and for a fun activity my dad took me and my two sisters bucketing for gems (which is the next step after mining for the gems). I found a lot of small ones and I also found this larger blue gem. My dad allowed me and my sisters to pick a gem to get cut, polished, and put into a holder to put on a necklace. Of course I picked the blue one because blue is my favorite color and it was the only one big enough to put in the holder. After the gem was all done I put it on a necklace chain and wore it. But the first time I put it one this wierd powerful sensation run through my body. This happens also everytime I put it on. Could this gem have powers? If any suggestions please comment.
Coming from North Carolina without any more information than it is blue my guess is that the stone may be a blue topaz, common in NC gem mines. All stones hold "power" and knowing the stone and it's power is usually best before wearing the stone. Also is the necklace silver or gold? And when you say holder do you mean setting or the stone was wrapped? Where in North Carolina could also make a difference.
well it certainly sounds as this stone is very powerful. Is the feeling you get from it short term(eg the big rush of power) or does it linger. If it is a topaz its excellent for alinging your spirit and physical body to the universal flow of power hence the big rush

Well the stone isn't a blue topaz, sorry. I found out it's a blue aget stone. I had went to North Carolina during to summer. The chian is silver and by holder I mean it was put in an oval metal holder where you and see the stone. When I put it on I fell a sudden burst of energy that last for a few minutes.
Agate is a banded microcrystalline quartz. It is ofton found with other quartz minerals such as amethyst and carnelian.
