Is a cinnamon stick the same as bark? Is it a piece of bark rolled in a stick?

I hope you have medical training and/or are licensed to do herbal testing on people otherwise you are putting yourself in a mess of possible legal trouble and can harm those you are working on.

Yes, cinnamon bark is a cinnamon stick. It is the inner bark that is used and it curls as it dries.

Cinnamon has many properties and can be used in many ways. All you have to do is read a book on herbal medicine, herbal remedies, or alternative medicine (or all of them) to find that information. You should know what it is used for before using it though. If you give a herb to someone that has something that would contradict giving it to them, you could hurt that person. Like people with insulin controlled diabetes should not take sage (Salvia officinalis) in medicinal amounts because regulating blood sugar is one of it's properties. Always research the herb before using it and if you are giving it to someone, make sure it is safe to do so.
