I believe that everyone has a certain magic that speaks to them better than others. I am better at darker magics, but all my friends are saying I shouldn't use dark magic. But a few say I should just do what feels comfortable, but if its dark, to be careful. Help me please!
Short version: I see no harm in dark magick any more than I do eating at Burger King instead of McDonald's. It is not a bad thing, just the flip side of the coin. The negative side of a magnet is not bad, it is just the opposite of the positive side of the magnet.
I practice dark magick, but I started out only practicing white and green magick, learned the basics from the Wiccan faith, and then moved on to Old magick, which believes in the necessity of black magick to get things done. I think, as long as you have a good sense of right and wrong, (Don't curse people just because you can, don't summon evil spirits without knowing what you're doing and having a good reason, don't do things because you want more power,avoid self gain, and always be aware there is a price and consequence to every wrong you do, etc.)then dark magick is fine, especially if that's what feels comfortable to you.

Just before the beginning of the Burning times, there were some who practiced magick that was beneficial to the Roman Catholic church. Anyone who did magick that helped the church was said to be doing white magick. Anyone who was not devoted to the church was accused of doing black magick and was shunned. Slowly all magick became evil, but the origin of the concept of black magick was invented purely by the Christian church. I hope that puts you at ease on your path.
everything you have both said have helped me immensely thank you both, I am confident in my path now. and one more thing about the not harming people, what if they "ask for it" or "deserve it" what then? is it then okay?
The best bet is to let karma do its thing. However if they have severely wronged you or someone close to you, you can ask the Goddess Nemesis to assist you in dealing with the person. She is the goddess of justice and divine retribution. I would consult with her before casting anything against someone to make sure you do not fall victim to the rule of three.
I'd say, avoid it if possible, but if its getting really bad, do something to protect yourself, or others who are involved. If that means binding the person in some way, or sending their harm right back at them, Forcing karma's hand, so to speak, do what you have to do. You can do things to teach a lesson without doing any real harm to the person. But I'd say, just do what feels right. Don't act out of rage or hatred when you're considering hurting someone with black magick. Give yourself a little while to really consider if you feel its worth the consequence to do it. If you feel it is, then I would. If you do it, and you don't feel guilty, that usually says to me that I did the right thing.
You should use dark magick only to protect yourself in dire straits if forced to...remember whatever you alter is playing with fate..its not to you to control people or take lives..i know that if someone kills your mother you can use the death spell but taking his life is not in your hand ..you will have to pay for upsetting this balance..just becos you know to do spells you can kill him did you ever think about the common man?you can but he cannot..i know this sounds alien but never use dark magick unless its the ectreme case like children effected..and remember a spell is like opening a dam..omce you unleash you cannot draw its energy back...i have had mty share of all this black energy and today i sleep with the host under my pillow...i guess that explains all.
