I'm new to practicing magic. my mother is a witch, and my grandmother is a witch. I would like to practice too, but i dont know where to start

Question for you. Why do you not know things about magick if your mom and grandmom are witches? Just wondering.
You need to start with the basics, which you can find on this site. Meditation, grounding, energy work, etc. With your family being witches, books on the subject should be open to you. Read, study, learn; best advice. You can download pdf format books on magick. The information is out there, and within this site. Another you might try is about.com, putting basics of magick in their search bar. There is a search bar on here too.

i do know the basics. grounding, meditation, and all that. the reason im so new is that my mother isnt a practicing witch. my grandmother is, but she traveles alot and i only get to see her about twice a year when she comes into town.
I want to practice, to really understand what it means to be a responsible witch. the only spell ive ever cast was on accident on a piece of incesence against my ex boyfriend. i wanna learn how, not only to controll it, but to use it responsibly. i wanna help people.
