'Depressed' after medit..

I have started meditation just a few days back and I try to focus on spiritual development, try to listen to positive music and stuff and weird stuff is happening!

In past ten days I have felt more depressed, cried more than ever... I end up remembering bad stuff, or someone would just remind me something bad
More people are fighting around me...

Even after taking a taxi(not bus or train) till office I end up in some minor accident!

People generally connect with Gods after meditation and I am losing all faith in them.

Has anyone felt the same?

Maybe the bad things are only trying to tell you something but your mind isn't being open to them. I honestly think that meditation can bring out some of the deepest unheard messages that need to be learned.

Remembering past isn't always a bad thing honey, it is there as a memory for a reason, as everything you do has a lesson or outcome.

Your faith is set by you, and only you can decide what you believe in or have faith in.

I agree with Kittehkat. I think that old memories in meditation have a purpose. Your guide is trying to tell you something. They aren't there to tell you what you WANT to see or hear. They tell you what you NEED to see or hear. Keep meditating, it will come clear soon. don't give up :) And yes, I've had similar visions in meditation but, it was a lesson for me not to repeat history like i was getting ready to do at that time.

Exactly, you just got to keep trying and keep your head up honey. Don't let depression overrun you and stop you from practicing or doing what you believe.

Maybe you are right! All day I am depressed but at night I see a lot of dreams and they are mostly positive...

I start thinking stuff will be good and that never happens :(

Maybe stop expecting good things or looking for good things and just allow them to come, as if you're too focused on looking at one thing something good might slip right out in front of you and you might miss it as you're focused on it being something else.

As for the meditation, as the others have said, it can bring out what you need to know or question in order to grow. Ask yourself why you're remembering these things. Maybe you just need to find peace in them so you can find a greater level of peace within yourself? Maybe try to release some of the people or emotions and memories holding you back.

Just keep in mind that with each bad thing comes something good and vice versa, just be positive and open to receiving and I'm sure positivity will come your way :)Possibly even give yourself a cleansing to feel fresher.

I went thru a dark time myself, so i understand that intimetly. Meditation would always bring emotions to the surface that i would supress. I agree with doing a cleansing and really focus on getting rid of negativity from your aura. Hold on to hope. Message me if you need to. Love and possitivity to you

You should consider that this can be a coinsidence or it is just part of the process through meditation you reach your inner self which means you have to face everything that holds you back and make a new start becomee a wiser and stronger person keep up with the meditation it can only get better from now on

When you meditate first you are connecting with a higher energy. One of the affects of this is a heightened awareness. The things you are seeing around you are probably always there you just don't usually notice them. As far as depression is concerned this can be due to something physical or you may have an excess of energy in your body. I recommend you cast a circle around you when you meditate. Or find and concacrate a special spot where you meditate. Too often we bring the negitive energies of our everyday lives with us into spiritual practices. At the very least try grounding yourself when your done. This might help.

Not to offend anyone, as being upset and down is never a mice thing, but unless you have been diagnosed with depression, you shouldn't be throwing that word around just because you feel low for a week or two. It can be quote offensive to people who actually have the disease.
