Im new to SoM and Im greatful that Ive found this site. I am new to the practice of magic. I have a friend who has been practicing for many years but all he says it's a "personal" decision. Is there any advice you can give me on how to get started?

You should start off with the basics. Meditation, visualization, grounding, energy, and correspondences.
