How do you gather your energy before casting a spell?

I mean what do you do? And how it is helpful? Tips and tricks by experienced people here would help everyone! Blessed be! :)

There are many ways to gather energy. Traditionally, people dance, sing, or chant, but it is important to explore your own energies to find a way that works best for you. Personally, I feel that the best energy comes from playing my flute or oboe.

Most people I know start slowly, whether it be whispering instead of singing, walking instead of dancing, or speaking instead of chanting. Then, get more and more intense, gathering energy. When you feel you have reached the apex, you can either sigh, releasing it into the space, or you can hit a tone (like just sing one note).

I'm not very familiar with other techniques; while I may know a little bit, I probably wouldn't be able to answer questions about them.

Ohh... That's great! We can also gather energy from dancing and singing. I usually do it with visualization and talking to myself and God and animals. Btw it was informative. Blessed be. :)

Well, I don't particularly do the fancy things when it comes to gathering energy. I like to gather energy using the elements. I believe each element has a specific energy and a different feel to it. I like to distinguish energies between the elements and analyze what I feel. I know it sounds crazy and all.

Anyway, the main way I gather energy is by a simple meditation. I like to listen to alpha waves when I meditate, it's quite calming and you should try it!

Well personally, I do the whole dance and sing thing bit around my circle constantly gathering energy, but I am gonna try by playing the cello (once I learn how). Some people simply sit and pull energy from all around them and from with in themselves. Others use fornication to gather that energy or other versions of release. It really varies person to person, and will end up being what's best for you.

What everyone's saying is true, i prefer meditation myself, outdoors if possible, nature is full with energy, its mostly and ultimately what works for you.

It should also be noted that one can go inside to get energy as many believe that we are connected in one another to the universal source of all energy and therefore don't need to pull from an external source.

I'm not as talented as the previous practitioners, as I just sit and meditate.

The silence and darkness, does wonders, actually ...

Until the water bump turns on, or my succubus (that's my "pet name" for her) nibbles on my neck, ... Scared, I stand straight up, hitting my head on the ceiling.
