Candles?

I'm in a position at the moment where I can't use actual candles. Would it be ok it use a candle app on my iPod?

That depends. If you're simply using the candles for light then it would be fine substitute your phone or some of the battery operated candles. However, if you're using it in a spell that calls for a candle then you need an actual candle for that particular spell to work.
