staff or wand

I mainly use a staff and I'm wondering what do you guys think is better since o am new here

There is essentially no difference a wand or staff is just an extension of your own energy.

Comparing the staff and wand are like comparing the fork to the spoon. They serve different purposes, even if they are both used in the same setting/context. Wands help to channel, amplify, and direct energy, while staffs/staves are you used for cleansing and banishing of negative energy. They do correspond in their use for drawing symbols (runes, sigils, pictures, etc.) in the ground or in the air. They also both correspond with fire. So as to which is better? It really depends on what you are using it for.

there is not really a difference the only difference is the staff is longer than a wand. they both are used for directing energy so their the same

A wand is the individuals tool while the staff belongs to the coven and may be used by its members as a general rule. Not to contradict you evanora but i learned it from Lark. ~blessing and guidence~

Since everyone else already explained the difference between the 2, as well as stated how they are similar, I will merely suggest that you use whichever one you are more comfortable with.

In my opinion I would also say that they both have a purpose, and they are both very convenient tools. If you don't want to pick one, perhaps get both. If you already have a staff, go out, find a branch and carve yourself a wand, or vice versa :)

Whether you may decide which extensional tool to use, always remember that the staff/wand is all about YOU. Good luck with your decision, blessed be.

In more specific terms, it's purpose, in my opinion, is to guide you in your magickal workings, and so, always add and work your extended energy in the staff/wand.
