Meadowsweet has Salicyclic acid which is the same active metabolite in Aspirin, meaning meadowsweet drunk as a tea or taken by tincture form is excellent for headaches, migraines, and minor pain and inflammation.

Other herbs have similar effects for reducing pain and headaches such as Black Cohosh, Kava Kava, Valerian, Wood Betony, California Poppy, St. John's Wort, Ginger, Jaimaican Dogwood, Lobelia as a muscle relaxant, Willow Bark, Chamomile, and Arnica to be used in very small doses is anti-inflammatory and an analgesic helping to reduce pains and aches.

For fevers I would recommend using Feverfew, Prickly Ash, or Yarrow.

You can make your own herbal salve for headaches. They're easy enough to make with the right ingredients. Here is a list of herbal medicine for you:

Most common ones for headaches though are lavender and eucalyptus. Eucalyptus is used in most headache salves/balms.

Lemongrass is good for fevers and colds/flu in general, but the best remedy in my opinion for fevers is an old southern one. Two pairs of socks and either plastic wrap or plastic bags. You put egg whites in the first pair of socks and put it on their feet, then the plastic to keep it in and then the second pair of socks over that. It's never let me down. Usually brings it down in 20-30 minutes with no medication. It's said to "bring the heat to the feet." How it works I really don't know, I just know it works. Although I have also heard of people using onions or potatoes in the same fashion, I've only used egg whites.

For migraines I like using peppermint oil diluted or peppermint extract (food grade) mixed in with olive oil rubbed on the temples and forehead.

I have to second this post. I like using feverfew followed by a chamomile tea with a bit of ginger and mint in it.

I am not extremely familiar with herbs yet, but as an immediate relief for some of my migraines, I use an amethyst stone.

At work I rub it across my forehead and then wear it around my neck. At home, I lay down and place it on my forehead. This works well for me.

I'm not familiar with any remedies for soothing fevers.

I hope this helps
