I have been noticing that lately people have become, so hypocritical on the subject of belief. people say "oh you have to believe for the magic to work." and then they go off and tell someone "oh thats impossible" or "you can't do that" on numerous things. for example someone does a simple attraction spell, and then goes off and tells someone else that they can't physically change their appearance. There are so many things that people say are impossible, even though there are still some who believe in those things (I'm not talking about anything specific here) and I just thought that people like us had the most belief. I wish I knew where it all went so we could get it back.
TV and books have potrayed magic in false ways. Some people get the wrong idea and expect more out of magick than what is humanly possible. Imagination can sometimes get the best of us, and to have someone tell you what you believe is incorrect may hurt your feelings. Magick has been around far longer than any of us here. No one fully understands how it works or what it is completely capable of doing. There are many things magick is able to do for us, but what some people want it to do (change worlds, turning into other physical forms, bending elements, yadda yadda) would cause chaos and our world as we know it to become very unbalanced. There are guidelines for anything you do, and you have to respect the fact that some things are truly impossible.

You can sit in your garage all night and believe you are a Chevrolet, but it still won't turn you into an automobile.
Yes, belief is important. But just because you believe in something and even desire it a great deal does not mean that what you believe and want is possible given the limits of the Universe. Even magic has its limits on what it can and cannot do.
If these things are so impossible then why are ther in the sight database and they falsely bolster the number of spells available to people. There are even whole sections dedicated to the "fake spells" so why so we allow it? If the moderators and administrators of this sight truly care about the quality of content that is available to us, most of whom are just beginning in there magical adventure, then these spells must be taken down in as a type of quality controll.
The site informs you that not all spells posted are real and to use common sense when browsing spells. There are plenty of creditable resources on the site that can give you the basics of magick. If you're really interested in it, just take a look.
@SilverShade:
Firstly, this site belongs to Pet and he can do whatever we wants and we shouldn't order upon his actions, sure you may pass on your suggestion/opinion but that doesn't mean that all those opinions are taken into action.
The fake spells are there for attraction, so that people who google them might get into this site. Also, there are too many spells to be edited. Mods have a lot more work than just listen to complains, they have to live their own life too. What can be done is being done!
Beleiving is an important factor in magick, but that doesn't mean it will make you accomplish all that fictional stuffs seen in movies. Magick has its limitations beyond which we cannot go. As I say, we are bound and limited to actions that can be performed. If people would use common sense to determine reality, then that would clear a lot of doubts. Grow up and show some maturity! It's surprising how people expect so much from magick! People see something in movies that interests them, then run around in an aim to perform the same actions performed in the movies, no matter if that makes any sense or not but they pay no heed to reality and tend to think they can do whatever they want!
I see you all still don't get it, In fact you just proved my point.let me ask you this question, Is anything impossible? what you're saying has all been said before. people thought it was impossible to put a man on the moon, did it. people once thought that it was impossible to fly, now it's second nature. in fact magic it self was one considered "impossible" but the fact that your here means that it isn't. so why do we consider anything to be impossible, its just a matter of time before these things become a part of what we call "reality". but I guess however many times I say this people will still think of impossibility as being possible.
what you say it's now possible is done by means of long research and technology..I still have to see a man able to fly without and airplane (and similar devices) or one walking on the moon withou the aid of a space craft and a space suite!
I give you another view point..magick needs a mean of manifestation to work..since the humans don't grow extra parts, or change their appearance at will like some animals do it's highly unlikely it's going to happen. And the same applies to any other fictional thing you might belive true or possible. Yes fictional because the middle earth was invented by a really religious christian..check this fact, you really don't have to believe just my word.
