Summoning a god
By:
It's not that I plan to summoning my gods it's more that I want to know about it

1. Can a god be summoned in the first place
2. If so would it to be safe to summon them to get advice or ask a favor
3. If yes to both what would I offer them energy, incense and candles (as a offering) or something else all together

1) yes
2) not really yenking a god for just that would above the god but you can do all that with them not being there
3) something of which they can get energy if not yours then a battery but believing in a god gives them energy so there is no real nead to give them anything, unless you want to follow traditions for no aperant reason

Summoning a god/dess can be done....now the question is "why would someone summone a god/dess?" If people really wanted to know something they can just ask their god/dess in their prayers.

Now I believe this is also like someoneing a ghost, the question now is "Do I know how to banish what I have brought into this world?"

You can invoke or invite a god or goddess. Personally I find summoning quite rude to do to a being that's much more powerful , knowledgeable and wise than we are as humans.
It would be wiser to pray to them and give offerings. They work in that sort of premise. During prayers you can burn incense and candles to focus you and set the mood.
And besides if you need to ask about summoning your not ready for it.

yes: you can summon god/goddess bud it need a lot of experience and patience and the reason why are you doing it, was it the last option to do that because it has consequences.

Yes and no, you don't exactly summon a deity, frankly as Lewis said it's a bit foolish and rather rude which means they're probably going to be less inclined to help you if they attend, you ask for their help. Think of it a little like asking a friend or relative for help, you don't order them to help you but rather ask nicely.

If you want to ask a gods advice or favor then I'd suggest that some form of prayer (all religions have at least an equivalent for talking to the deity/deities of their faith). In times when you particularly need your gods' advice then you invite them to attend and help you however bare in mind that only the gods you worship relatively frequently are likely to help, just in the same way that a friend would help you where a total stranger would likely blow you off.

Offerings vary among practitioners and deities so it's almost impossible to say that you should offer them X, Y or Z but rather think about it and the situation. Try to think of a gift that the deity would appreciate and something that feels relatively heart felt, an offering is your way of thanking the deity for their help so frankly the more personal to the relationship you share the better.

I agree with murfie. It is always better to have a personal relationship with the diety. They dont like it when you leave them. It makes it hard to get close to one if you are continualy praying to different ones. A bunch of people will say im wrong. And in wicca we honor the god and godess in many forms. But personaly. In my opinion. My practice only got stronger once i stopped worshipping other gods and goddesses of another name and committed to who has alwayz been there. In name and presence. Summoning one seems like a moot point. They are in every molecule of every thing in this universe already. Invoking them is a good way to feel that power if you have the concentration and control. Im glad you asked though. In my opinion they dont get mad when you try to summon them. I liken it to a child, mommy, mommy or daddy, daddy. If they want to come they do. If they dont then you will likely get bored and move on to something more fruitful. You will never control them though. Even if you think you do.

Let's start off by understanding that we are talking about powerful divine beings here. Gods are not a spell ingredient to be " used ". Nor does one try to summon or command them. That would be both foolish to attempt and an insult to the Deity whose favor you are asking.

Many of us who work magic within our religious beliefs do work with certain Gods or Goddesses. We don't pick them on a whim. In fact in most instances our deities choose us. Once we realize that there is a calling to work with a specific deity we go about building a two-way relationship with them. This would include praying to them, making offerings to them, perhaps even creating an altar to honor them. Then when we have great need of their aid we can request it politely. We can invite them courteously to be present in our circle, ask their assistance, and make an offering to them in return for their help.

Think of it this way.. in a relationship such as I'm describing the Gods are our parents and we are their children. Now here's a situation where you need something, so you go to the Gods for help. Who is more apt to aid you? The deity who views you as their child and with whom you have built a loving relationship? Or the random deity who has not relationship to you and who you rudely demanded they do something for you? I would think the outcome is obvious.

You COULD summon a god/goddess it all depends if you believe in them. It can be safe if your a believer in that god and if your going to ask for something good/bad and serious/joke. You can offer candles as well as something that represents the god/goddess' powers (ie: Aphrodite-Hearts and lovey stuff like that,Demeter-flowers,plants)

Lark's answer is probably the most accurate here. Deities are meant to be worshipped, not invoked willy-nilly like a spirit. And why would you even want a being that powerful within your place of residence...?
