Gods and goddess

What are the gods and goddess ? Are they the ones who made magic are they powerful demons ? Are some good and helpful or bad and destructive ? Who are they,could they help me with magic and how many are there are they any that have to deal with the elements and could you give them offerings if so what do they like ?

there is no true label of what a god is, as a personal belief, I think that gods are just names and faces we give to one divine being. Why? Because they are one and many, the god/goddess are good and bad, caring and ruthless at the same time. For example, the neo-pagan goddess is mother, a symbol of fertility, maiden, symbol of joy, crone, symbol of death, great sow who eats her children, symbol of ruthlessness, tribal mother, symbol of authority. She bears many faces, many meanings, many personalities, it is best to find a deity who you think embodies what you seek in life and your values. So... You can burn incense and candles, but be careful burning incense for some egyptian gods, you have to buy speciafic incense made differently from normal incense for isis, for example. You can also make offerings of a herb or stone sacred to this god.
