It's possible, in the sense of communicating with the dead, yes. If you're talking about raising the dead, eh, that's questionable. Never seen it done myself, at any rate. I'd suggest... not doing it if you don't know what you're doing, honestly, same for any sort of summoning magick. It's quite tricky and one mistake could end quite badly. To explain the principles of it, though, as I understand them, it's on the same principle as any sort of extra-planar communications. Talking with gods, demons, angels, spirits, spirit animals, etc. Only on a closer plane to this one, and often times more forcefully.
Necromancy is nothing more than a form of divination where one consults the spirits of the dead. Certainly it can be done. Whether it is the best form of divination is questionable. My personal feeling is that disturbing the dead for personal use is a bit distasteful, but that's just me. Others may feel differently.
Anything is possible my friend it just takes the right amount of faith and know how but I have never done resurrection as rising the dead is forcing the previous' host soul to go back into the body I would presume that you need to use necromancy and time magic together to even successfully attempt this and you need adept senses to find the soul and bring it to the body i'm afraid that you shouldn't try it though if you grab a wrong soul very bad events could occur but there's a likely low CHANCE you can do resurrection while someone is in the hospital dying you can push the soul back with will power I hope this information has been helpful to you.
To answer your question, yes Necromancy is possible. You'd go about doing it by performing different rituals and spells and occasionally making offers depending on which ritual you're using and the reason for contacting whomever you're reaching out to, that is, if there's a specific spirit you're trying to contact. I'm not going to go into much detail, but there are five different forms of Necromancy, (two of the forms being opposite of one another) and each works a bit differently than the last. One has the intention to inflict harm to others, while one would aid you in some way or another. Each form would require different things from you, one form would require meditation and a clear mind whilst the other would require you to close off all thoughts and emotions while performing a ritual due to the kind of spirit you're summoning. I actually have no intentions of raising the dead, but I was reading about a group of mages in ancient Ireland, and some of the other tribes discribed them as necromancers, so I thought I'd ask about it. Were they raising the dead, or were they communing with them?
I think they might of raised the dead Depending on the potency of their magic it's easier to communicate with spirits than raise them though some can communicate with the spirits easily with third eye telepathy.
