Florida water and ghost

So I recently been doing body cleansing for a spell that I'm doing just to cleanse off, with florida water. I also cleaned my floors (my kitchen and bathroom with it ) since the rest of my house is carpet. I've been having paranormal things happening, I been waking up feeling like someone is choking me , I went to my moms bedroom at night since I left something there and I heard an old woman talking behind me , my mom was passed out sleeping , and my mom said someone was playing with her make up box late at night and last night I was in the living room alone and I saw a shadow pass not once but twice . I also been having weird dreams and my mom said she's been having dreams of a old last with nasty looking nails.. Would it be the florida water that attracts or makes the sprits more active cause I doubt it's the spell I'm doing which is the open road candle I leave on .. Help !!!

I also use florida water.i wonder the same thing.hun its not the water.If you are praying,contacting,or summoning any deity,force,demon,angel.which ever it may be or simply praying for you and your family.there is an evil that comes about to prevent you from completing the cleansing of your home.or a certain person doesnt like your family hince the witch dream.keep praying burn aome herbs.it will pass.pay no attention to the dark shadows just wish them to be gone.-GrnOne66

Any spell or act of magick can lead to spirits being interested. Some leave on there own if nothing hod there interest other need a little guidance or motivation in leaving. If you keep having the issue, you can try a banishing of negativity. I find that type of spell is relatively quick and easy and even beginners seem to do well with it.

Spells do not attract spirits unless you have called on spirits to aid you in your spells. Spirits are all around us. Magick opens you to sense them. The way I was explained is that between us and them is a natural barrier, and when magick is practiced that barrier thins in not only the area the magick is practiced but also around/within the person that practices. The reason for this is simple, you are choosing to use it to manifest action in the physical, therefore you choose to bridge the gap. This is why we keep our homes spiritually clean and well protected. You don't move from the city to the woods and become surprised that a raccoon or bear is raiding your garbage. You need to be prepared or trouble is being asked for. :p

Protection is a must. I can never stress enough that the first magick anyone should learn is defense. If you have skipped this, I suggest you halt all your current magick endeavors and focus solely on defense (protection, amulets, cleansing, clearing, banishing, warding, etc.) until you are entirely confidant and well practiced in the subject.

I'm curious! What is Florida Water, and what's so special about it?

Florida water is one of the many colognes that made their way into conjure work. It's really cheap and strong scented. It made it's way as a spiritual cleansers in rootwork, it is found in both hoodoo and Vodou. In Vodou, it can be used also as a form of perfume offering.

Since this post is under the Vodou section, I'll answer it from a hoodoo perspective.

The waking up feeling like something is choking is actually a very normal occurrence called "sleep paralysis." It is not any serious medical condition, you are just simply not waking up fully so your body can not move. After a while, it may pass.

As for the other occurrences, I don't see anything that suggests anything malevolent. It could be just a spirit trying to work with you, getting your attention. Since most workers were originally Christian, many say to pray in Jesus's name. The idea being that when they hear the name, anything evil high tails it. Making a sprinkle of salt and black pepper around the house and sweeping it out or mopping with 4 thieves vinegar will clear out any unwanted guests as well. Keep cleaning with the florida water and prayer, (if you are doing anything for prosperity, do it now), and then set up some kind of protection like White has said. Prayer to Saint Michael, fiery wall of protection powders, prayers to God, black and white pepper in the shoes, protection altar, pots, etc.
