I've found over the years that certain colors, times of day, or items speak to us individually. I use these items in spells of my own and generally, they work better than any spell I've copied. Listen to your inner self for guidance. Trust your instincts. Good luck

it takes a lot of study, practice and trial and error to do this. learn about how magick works and why, moon phases, colour associations, and basic information on herbs and crystals. if you want to make a love spell with clover you need to know why. sometimes items work for you because of a personal connection to the item, but most of the time its the energy the item is naturally attuned to. so be sure you know if clover can be used in a love spell. one more thing, wording. it might sound cool to say 'burn away my enemies' but depending on the deity you are calling upon in question, it could be taken literally instead of metaphorically. it doesn't need to rhyme but it should have proper wording. [example keep those who wish to harm away]
